Juniors and Seniors Can Now Buy Their SMA iPads

Seniors: Class of 2017

Once again, graduating seniors may choose to purchase their SMA iPad before they leave St. Mary’s. The cost: $150 for an iPad Generation 4 or $250 if they have an iPad Air.

To purchase: We notified seniors to bring cash or a check made out to St. Mary’s Academy to the Tech Office by 4 p.m., Friday, May 26. However, if you somehow miss this date, seniors can also buy their iPad ONLY on iPad turn-in day, which for seniors is Thursday, June 1, no later than 4 p.m. Be sure to include the name of the graduating senior with your payment.

These iPads are sold “as-is” with no warranty. Any managed school apps, links, and restrictions will be removed from the devices after finals.

New! iPad Purchases for Juniors, Class of 2018

Juniors now have the option to purchase their iPads before they finish this school year. This choice allows students to take their iPads home for the summer.

If a current junior purchases an iPad, that device will be updated in our management system to be part of the “opt-out” program. This means they become the property of your family, not a St. Mary’s device. These iPads are sold “as-is” with no warrant. If your iPad is damaged or lost, your family is responsible for replacing it with another iPad.

The cost: $150 for students who have an iPad Generation 4 or $250 for students who have an iPad Air.

To purchase: Bring cash or a check made out to St. Mary’s Academy to your TA on Thursday, June 8 (iPad collection day).  Any iPads that are not purchased that day will be stored and inspected for damage over the summer and redistributed to students in September as usual.
