Music and Dance at St. Mary’s This Holiday Season

The performing arts department at St. Mary’s Academy will be in full swing this December with several performances featuring our musicians and dancers. Our students have been busy learning, studying and practicing the elements of music and dance while developing their skills in these expressive mediums. This fall, St. Mary’s hosted the annual Treble Choir Festival, featuring all three of our school’s choirs, along with women’s choirs from Lake Oswego, Canby and West Linn high schools. All the singers worked with clinician Mia Hall Miller from Pacific Youth Choir and shared their love of women’s choral music with each other. The Marian Singers also performed this past October at St. Mary’s Cathedral in a joint performance with Gonzaga University Choir and other Portland-area Catholic high schools. The event was a wonderful morning of music sharing and learning about choir at the collegiate level. The results of our students’ hard work this fall will come to fruition at the following holiday performances. Our girls would love your support and to share their talents with you.
